The current solo exhibition of the British artist Simon Callery (London, 1960) ends on Saturday 26 November. It can still be visited over the next few days, Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm, and Saturdays from 11 am to 2 pm. This was the artist's first solo exhibition in Spain since he began his association with the gallery. 

The works in the exhibition are the result of work carried out by the artist at two Iron Age archaeological sites, Moel and Gael, Bodfari in North Wales, and Nesscliffe Hill in Shropshire, England. The artist has collaborated with Oxford University's School of Archaeology for many years, using the setting of archaeological excavations as part of his creative process. In these paintings the canvases are marked, cut, perforated, soaked in highly saturated tempera paint and stitched, so that they reveal all sorts of holes and cavities.

Callery states that he works "to bring painting back to what it was and, as a result, to gain a better awareness of ourselves".
